SESSION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply to all family photography, maternity and newborn lifestyle photography sessions.

While I know none of us like reading the fine print, the information below is important as it outlines our policies and lets you know what to expect from us. Please take a moment to read it through.

Please note these terms and conditions only apply to standard sessions; mini-sessions and other promotional sessions have their own separate terms and conditions.

Copyright

When accepting a photography agreement, you assign full and exclusive copyright for all images taken to Photos by Laurinda. Images purchased after your session will be subject to a limited use personal licence, specified at the time of purchase.

Image Printing

For all images you purchase, we offer a range of printed photo products through a professional photo lab. If you choose to print your photos yourself, please be aware that the final quality of printed images relies on the application of particular settings and colour profiles.To achieve the best results we highly recommend using a professional printer who specialises in photography. We take no responsibility for the quality of any printed images.

Changes and Cancellations

If you would like to change your session time, please notify us as soon as possible. In most cases your session fee will be transferred to the new booking at no extra cost, however changes with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur an additional $50 re-booking fee.

You may cancel the photo session at any time, however your session fee will be forfeit.

Late/No-Show Policy

If you are running late you must notify us as soon as possible. We will not wait longer than 30 minutes past our agreed start time if you have not contacted us beforehand. A failure to show for your session will result in your session fee being forfeit. In the case where exceptional circumstances exist we may, at our discretion, transfer your booking to an alternative time however a $50 re-booking fee will apply.

Wet Weather

We will monitor the weather forecast in the days leading up to your session. If the weather is predicted to be unsuitable for photography we will contact you to discuss an alternative session time. For marginal or unforecast weather, we will make a final assessment on the morning of your session and notify you immediately if a change is necessary.

Specific Requests

It is your responsibility to communicate in advance if you would like any particular portrait combinations or something shot in a particular way. We will not be held responsible for any missed photos due to anything that has not been communicated prior to the session.

Uncooperative Participants

While we will endeavour to work with everyone involved to achieve pleasing results, we will not be responsible for any missed or unsatisfactory photos due to members of your group who are uncooperative during the session.

Similarly we are not responsible for any shots missed due to anyone being absent on the day.

Limit of Liability

Should we need to change the booking time for any reason, including but not limited to adverse weather, illness/injury or urgent personal circumstances, we will notify you immediately and organise an alternative time. If no suitable alternative can be found, you agree that our liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the session.

While we always take the upmost care with the creation, processing and storage of the images from your session, we cannot and do not guarantee that the images will not be lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed for reasons beyond our control. You agree that, in all circumstances, our responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the session.

Payment Schedule

Full payment of the session fee is required to secure your booking. Unless specified elsewhere in writing, this fee only covers the photo session and does not include any digital or printed images. All images will be charged separately.

An additional travel charge may apply to the cost of the package for locations outside of the Maitland, Newcastle and Hunter Valley area. This cost will be quoted to you when agreeing upon your location.

Completion Schedule

Photos are expected to be edited within two weeks of the session date. Delivery is expected within this timeframe but during busy periods may take longer. If this is the case we will advise you of an expected completion date

A proof gallery for review and photo purchase will be available via your personal client gallery at photosbylaurinda.com.au. You will be advised via email with your personal password when your proof gallery is completed and ready for viewing.


 

Photos by Laurinda is committed to protecting your privacy and as such we will not trade, loan, or sell your personal information, or any other information which may identify you, to third parties.

 

When you place an order though our website, you provide us with personal details, including your name, email address, credit card information (if paying by credit card), address, and phone number. We use this information to process your order. The financial information that we collect from you is used for billing purposes only and is not retained after the transaction. All credit card transactions are handled by a third-party financial organisation and the information collected is shared with them only to the extent required to process your order. Similarly other personal information, including your address, is shared with third-party organisations only to the extent requried to process and deliver your order or as required by our legal obligations.

We will not contact you with marketing material unless you have specifically notified us that you wish to be part of our email program.
